Would you put red lipstick on your cat's butt and try this experiment yourself???  I'm not sure if I would.

Fanny's NIghtly Routine. Oh Dear!

11pm:  She starts the routine by eating some wet food.

Fanny now remembers -- "Mom usually puts out treats in the other room.  I better go look".

She leaves her food to go see.

Egg carton treats.  It's fun and gets her moving.

And back to finish her food.

Now the catnip. "Oh wow! Are there two of you? I can't feel my paws".

" I think I'll take a nap now."

The Wonders Of Catnip!

Well, Fanny has some new, fresh catnip.  I had an old stash 
which really wasn't effective so decided to buy some fresh organic catnip.  Big difference.

We had all the anticipated effects.
Craziness > Drooling > Grooming > Sleep

She slept on the floor all night.

I bought the catnip on Amazon.  They give you quite a bit so as long as I keep it dry and sealed, it should last a long time.

Here's some info:

Researchers suspect that catnip targets feline "happy" receptors in the brain. When eaten, however, catnip tends to have the opposite effect and your cat mellows out. Most cats react to catnip by rolling, flipping, rubbing, and eventually zoning out. They may meow or growl at the same time.

Cats Know!!!

It's crazy but cats can sense that you lie down.  Even if they are in another room.  It's one of their unique senses I guess.

I saw that Fanny was sound asleep on the bed when I came back from my walk.  So I plopped down on the sofa.

Less than a minute later this is what happened.  She jumped on me.  

Needless to say, we both took a nap.

A Review of Fanny's Litter Box

I am very happy we tried this litter box.  It has made our lives so much easier.  

My husband does not complain anymore about litter being kicked out all over the floor.  With the 3 walls Fanny can scratch and play in the litter all she wants.

I also found a way to save on litter bags. We use the large black trash bags. Just slide the bag over the box. Add your litter.  And flip the bag inside out for easy, no mess litter changes.  

We get the bags in bulk from Sam's Club.   Costs a fraction of what we were paying for actual litter bags. 
 
We do not use clumping litter since we don't like to scoop. So we change the litter as needed.  This box does not hold odor and it provides just enough privacy for your cat.

A little pricey at around $65.00 but it has proven to be worth it.  We were frequently replacing plastic boxes due to smell and/or cracking.  Don't have to worry about either with this box.
